For live recording of bands and small live ensembles, I always visit Blurbird Studios, Declan Lonergan’s place in Straffan (a stone’s throw away from the K Club, so if you’re into golf, you can hang out at the scene of the 2006 Ryder Cup). Declan has the sharpest ear around and is a genuine technician of the studio – like they were in the old days, scientists of sound. If you are looking for live players on your score (in addition to myself or instead of myself, it’s all good), we can organise perfectly recorded live material and we know all of the best studio musicians around.
